Flare Path – 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th July

The Company is proud to present Flare Path by Terence Rattigan, directed by Priscilla Burbidge

Horncastle Theatre Company’s summer production is Flare Path written during WW11 by Terence Rattigan and influenced by his experiences as a tail gunner in Coastal Command during that time. Over the course of a weekend pilots and crew  of a bomber squadron spend time with their wives at a small hotel near to their air base in Lincolnshire.

The arrival of a Hollywood film star causes  London actress  Patricia, wife of Flight Lieutenant Teddy Graham,  to do some heart searching.    During the weekend the crew, including Count Skriczevinsky a Polish pilot, are recalled for an unscheduled night time bombing raid leaving their loved ones anxiously awaiting their return…
